Have you ever noticed how we plan things, how our life will go, where we'll be, etc.? How many of you did that, "Where I'll Be In Five Years" paper in your senior year of high school? I did, and some of mine was accurate, but it was not because it was what I wanted, but because it was what God had planned for me.
Let's get back to those plans we make...how often do they come to fruition? Probably not as often as we would hope. That's because our plan, Plan A, is not always God's Plan. God's Plan might be our Plan B, but it might not have been His Plan B!
We should not be upset if our plan doesn't work. We need to be open to what God has in store for us. He is in control and sometimes the best thing for us to do is get out of His way! What He has planned for is is far greater than anything we could ever imagine for ourselves. So if we just let Him lead, we'll be even more blessed. Now, if only it were that easy!
This is a song that I've gotten to know pretty well over the last few weeks. It has been a great reminder that although we don't know why God has put us wherever we are, we know there is a reason and we should keep living for Him and remain faithful. I hope you like it, too.
"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, Plans to prosper you and not harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
A hope and a future? Wow! What great gifts from God! What a blessing! Let's try to appreciate them!
Doji you are a thousand percent right. How many times do we as mankind (especially myself) get discouraged because things dont go the way we want. I have never looked at it as God completing his plan for my life but as another letdown in my life. Thank you for your encouraging words and food for thought.
